Margie Gibson, now based in Portland, Oregon... has worked in the entertainment industry for several years in Los Angeles and Chicago... singer, BMI songwriter, Recording Artist, actress and teacher.


Early in her career, Margie opened shows for Mel Torme, Marvin Hamlisch, Danny Thomas, and toured extensively with Bob Hope.


Margie has sung and written for movies, jingles, television and corporate events, commercials and  recording artists.  Margie has appeared on the concert stage with big bands, jazz ensembles, original  bands and symphony orchestras.


Gibson’s tribute to American Popular Music (featuring songs by Irving Berlin & Leonard Bernstein) has been presented in LA and New York at the Waldorf Astoria and Jazz Bakery, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, among other venues.


While in Chicago, Margie was guest artist with the Fine Arts Symphony Orchestra; starred in "Side by Side by Sondheim" and performed for Stephen Sondheim at The Symphony Center and headlined at many Chicago clubs.


Margie used her vast experience to coach students (beginners and professionals) to "Sing from the Heart." Gibson has written and directed musical shows at schools, churches and theaters.


Now in Portland! Gibson is busy re-uniting with musicians she knew from years back in LA and looking forward to working with the amazing jazz musicians based in the Pacific NW.
